A Post by Claire: I'm ONE!

Plus a week, if we're getting exact here. My birthday was the best too! First of all, me and mom drove to San Antonio to pick up Grandma. She greeted me with a huge hug and a stuffed animal. After that, we were inseparable! We got to stay the night in a hotel and mom and grandma let me stay up until midnight. Kinda, maybe I wouldn't go to sleep. The next day we shopped from the open of stores until the close. I got my birthday picture taken, got some presents for my friends (lots of bdays in August), and made lots of friends at the mall! The next day was the party-- let's just pause a moment and thank God for making chocolate (really!)-- Okay, so we had yummy cake and ice cream. There were tons of kids to play with and even more adults... and... I got lots of presents. So many that mom doesn't know what to do with 'em, so she left lots in boxes and put them in the closet for a rainy day. (Hey Mom, we live in Texas, good luck!) Oh, I almost forgot to tell you-- I got my second haircut a couple days before the party. This time it was ALL of it! That's about all my news. I may be writing soon to let you know that I'm walking, but we'll see. As for now, I'd like a snack so I have to go. The Freaky Wiggle

It's August 16th, which is 3 days after August 13th... so I know everybody is waiting for the birthday post. I'll get to it, sooner or later. Maybe later, when I can download pictures from my stupid broken camera. Anyway, there I was making Tom take a picture of my outfit (no full-length mirror at this house)... and I get to this one and see the most hideous face ever. WHAT IS UP WITH THAT WIGGLE?!?! I don't even know his name, but every time Tom puts it on for Claire I'm always saying "the purple one freaks me out Tom, turn it off!". And this is why!!!! By the way, do you think that's cute enough to wear out in public? :)

Two Little Monsters

People always tell me that Claire looks just like me, which is weird because my hair is WAY longer than hers. Hmm, anyways, this was just a fun little project I did last night, comparing us as littles. The pic of her in the bath just cracks me up!

What else is going on with life? Well, Tom's been working extra hard which means I've been spending a lot of time alone with Claire. We're making lots of good friends here though (with kids even!).. and that's nice for when I need a small break. I've started doing a "workout swap" with another mom in the mornings. She takes Claire while I run to the gym, then I take her little sweetie who's almost 2. It's nice, except I'm skipping this morning so that... I CAN GO PICK UP MY MOM!!! YAY, I'm so excited!!! Claire's first birthday is in 3 days, 'nother YAY! I guess that will probably be my next post. And I guess this one is done, since I'm not in a writing mood. Fine, bye.
